So I finally came up with an idea for a final piece, which I'm feeling happy and settled with. I already wrote how I found interesting and captivating recording water ways going along the railway drain pipes, researching how much water is around certain areas and in my chosen site, why water is actually there, how it affects its surroundings etc. So I will make a water wheel, which will convert water speed of certain area into pattern of light. Basically it's a siple technique of making a water wheel with cups at the ends of water wheel's edges so water can be easily collected there. Water weight will force wheel to turn. On the right hand side will be mechanism moving in manual scales principle, although balanced the way that its left side always stays lower that right hand side. At the end of the right hand side I will construct battery mechanism, that will light a light bulb. So when water forces wheel to turn, the second part ( which touches the edge of water wheel) automaticly lights up and off the light bulb depending on water speed.
Later on I'm planning to record light pattern in diffecent time scale and in different conditions.
My recorder will me made out of metal, mostly using spot welding machine. I researched the ways to get light working using battery connection, seems to be a very basic technique. Everything looks like going into my plan, which is a good thing to have on my side.
