So I finally came up with an idea for a final piece, which I'm feeling happy and settled with. I already wrote how I found interesting and captivating recording water ways going along the railway drain pipes, researching how much water is around certain areas and in my chosen site, why water is actually there, how it affects its surroundings etc. So I will make a water wheel, which will convert water speed of certain area into pattern of light. Basically it's a siple technique of making a water wheel with cups at the ends of water wheel's edges so water can be easily collected there. Water weight will force wheel to turn. On the right hand side will be mechanism moving in manual scales principle, although balanced the way that its left side always stays lower that right hand side. At the end of the right hand side I will construct battery mechanism, that will light a light bulb. So when water forces wheel to turn, the second part ( which touches the edge of water wheel) automaticly lights up and off the light bulb depending on water speed.
Later on I'm planning to record light pattern in diffecent time scale and in different conditions.
My recorder will me made out of metal, mostly using spot welding machine. I researched the ways to get light working using battery connection, seems to be a very basic technique. Everything looks like going into my plan, which is a good thing to have on my side.

Lazy Christmas holidays.
Finally I pushed myself hard enough to white something here and get my hands on a bit of work. It's been a really nice holidays and I think a bit of rest over Christmas was well deserved. Although it was sooo hard to start working again and knowing myself and my thinking "I can do that tommorow, I still got loads of time" I need to get back on track.
Just before holidays we had a tutorial and talked through our innitial ideas, what I want to record, what mechanism, what is my innitial location etc.
Walking through South Bermondsey I realised that there is a lot of water drops coming out of nowhere under the bridges, there is drain pipes (if that's how they're called) going along the huge workshop buildings etc. Water is collecting everywhere and at the end finds its way to vanish- running though the pipes, dropping from under the bridges, comming into a little fens/marshs/wetlands (how it's called really? found these words in dictionary but not sure which ones is right to use) and then evaporating into air. It would be nice to be able to record those ways of water journey, it's marks or its shapes during the running.
I've been looking for inspiration as I also had an idea of trasnfering water into energy or having water as an energy source. Although it would be amazing to create something like this I'm scared that it's a bit too risky and too challenging at this level. I keep this idea in my mind and definately will use some of the ideas that came exploring it, but will create something mechanical/technical rather then electronic.
So going back to recording waterdrops, I researched a bit and found "how to" video of how to make cool waterdrop effects using actual waterdrops. I experimented it myself and here is my results:
I think this definatelly pushed me into direction that I want to explore and develop.
